You may have heard by now, but FAN has expanded its use of CertifID throughout our operations, and HousingWire recently covered the rollout.

We've relied on CertifID for some time to verify identities and clear payoffs before funds move, and the expansion now brings direct wire fraud protection to every closing we conduct. We're also using CertifID's closing communication and automation tools, which joined the platform through its acquisition of CloseSimple earlier this year, to manage client communication and data collection from contract to closing. For our clients, the practical benefit comes down to fewer handoffs between systems. Status updates reach everyone automatically, and the protection that guards a wire transfer now extends to the information we collect along the way. We think that may help give buyers and sellers a little more confidence heading into closing day, while freeing our teams from chasing down updates by phone and email.

It's also one more step in a larger effort. Fraud tactics continue to change, and we plan to keep looking for ways to protect our clients without slowing the transaction down.
